ในช่วงเทศกาลการเรียนรู้กรุงเทพฯ Learning Fest Bangkok 2025 มีนิทรรศการสร้างสรรค์เกิดขึ้นพร้อมกันมากมายในพื้นที่เมือง และหอศิลป์บ้านจิม ทอมป์สัน Jim Thompson Art Center ก็เป็นพื้นที่หนึ่งที่ร่วมจัดแสดงนิทรรศการ The Shattered Worlds: Micro Narratives from the Ho Chi Minh Trail to the Great Steppe (โลกร้าว: เรื่องเล่าขนาดย่อมจากเส้นทางโฮจิมินห์ถึงทุ่งหญ้าสเต็ปป์)↗

นิทรรศการโลกร้าวฯ ชวนทุกคนมาสำรวจภาพถ่ายและเอกสารจากการประชุมเอเชีย-แอฟริกา ณ เมืองบันดุง ปี พ.ศ. 2498 (1955) พร้อมตั้งคำถามกับบทบาทของดอกไม้ในพื้นที่ของการเมืองและวัฒนธรรม — ชวนเรียนรู้ประวัติศาสตร์ยุคสงครามเย็น การประชุมจากกลุ่มประเทศไม่ฝักใฝ่ฝ่ายใด และตั้งคำถามว่าดอกไม้ที่ดูอ่อนโยนเหล่านี้เคยเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการต้อนรับขับสู้ สู่อำนาจ ความหวัง และเชื่อมโยงความตึงเครียดระหว่างประเทศได้อย่างไร

ทุกคนสามารถเข้าร่วมชมนิทรรศการนี้ได้ตลอดเทศกาล (วันศุกร์ที่ 16 ถึงวันอาทิตย์ที่ 18 พฤษภาคม 2568 ระหว่างเวลา 10:00–18:00 น.) ที่หอศิลป์บ้านจิม ทอมป์สัน ณ ห้องแกลเลอรี่ 1 และ 2

พิเศษ! ในช่วงสุดสัปดาห์ วันเสาร์ที่ 17 และวันอาทิตย์ที่ 18 พฤษภาคม 2568 ระหว่างเวลา 10:00–18:00 น. ณ ห้องแกลเลอรี่ 2 เด็ก ๆ และครอบครัวจะได้ต่อยอดประสบการณ์จากนิทรรศการ ผ่านกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้วาดภาพ ระบายสี ออกแบบการจัดดอกไม้ในจินตนาการ โดยได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากโครงการวิจัยของกลุ่มไฮเฟน ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ในนิทรรศการ โลกร้าว: เรื่องเล่าขนาดย่อมจากเส้นทางโฮจิมินห์ถึงทุ่งหญ้าเต็ปป์

ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมจะได้รับบทเป็นนักจัดดอกไม้ ที่มีหน้าที่ออกแบบช่อดอกไม้สำหรับการประชุมบันดุงที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้น ครั้งนี้ทุกประเทศมาเข้าร่วม คุณในฐานะนักจัดดอกไม้ จะสร้างสรรค์ช่อดอกไม้บบใดให้กับประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐอเมริกา รัสเซีย ผู้นำประเทศในแถบยุโรป และทั่วโลก? เพราะงานนี้ ต้องให้ดอกไม้พูดแทนคุณ

A bouquet full of meaning—for the world, for the people, and for the dream

During Learning Fest Bangkok 2025, many creative exhibitions will unfold across the city—and The Jim Thompson Art Center is one of the key venues. The exhibition The Shattered World: Micro Narratives from the Ho Chi Minh Trail to the Great Steppe↗ invites audiences to explore photography and archival materials from the 1955 Asian-African Conference in Bandung, Indonesia, while reflecting on the political and cultural meanings of flowers.

Through the lens of Cold War history and the Non-Aligned Movement, the exhibition raises thoughtful questions: How did flowers—seemingly gentle and decorative—once symbolize welcome, resistance, hope, and the subtle play of international power? How can we read the language of flowers in the context of global diplomacy?

The exhibition is open to the public from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 May 2025, from 10:00 to 18:00, at Gallery 1 and 2 of The Jim Thompson Art Center.

On the weekend of Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May 2025, from 10:00 to 18:00, Gallery 2 will host a special activity for children and families. Visitors are invited to continue their learning through drawing, coloring, and designing imagined floral arrangements—taking inspiration from the research project by the Indonesian collective Hyphen–, featured in the exhibition.

Participants will take on the role of a florist tasked with designing a bouquet for a renewed Bandung Conference—this time, with every nation in attendance. What kind of floral arrangement would you prepare for the President of the United States, for Russia, or for leaders from Europe and across the globe? In this activity, the flowers will speak for you.
